Patanjali Rishikul Enthusiastically Inaugurated 6-Day Inter School Sports Fiesta- ‘BEYOND
BOUNDARIES- 2025
The second season of much awaited 6-day Inter-School Sports Competition- ‘Beyond
Boundaries- 2025 was officially inaugurated on 14 July 2025 at Patanjali Rishikul. The sports
fiesta will continue from 14 July to 19 July, promising a week of spirited athleticism,
camaraderie, and healthy competition among students from 25 CBSE and ICSE schools across
the city.
The week long competition will feature a wide array of sports and games, providing a platform
for students to showcase their athletic prowess in Basketball, Volleyball, Yoga and Taekwondo.
To grace the occasion, the guests of honour were; Mr. Rajendra Singh Bedi, Vice President,
U.P. Basketball Association, Mr. Prabhat Rai, President, District Volleyball Association,
Prayagraj, Mr. Sheel Kumar Ojha, Secretary, Dist. Basketball Association, Prayagraj, Mr.
Ranjeet Yadav, Deputy Sports Officer, Prayagraj, Mr. Amit Singh, HOD (Yoga), U.P.R.T.O.U
along with Ms. Prerna Gupta, Pepsico India Ltd. Director, Madam Rekha Baid, Principals of
Patanjali Group of Schools; Ms. Alpona Dey, Ms. Madhuri Srivastava, Ms. Vibha Srivastava and
Principal, Army Public School, Old Cantt., Ms. Neerja Ashok and Principals of participating
schools.
The opening ceremony was a vibrant display of sportsmanship and unity, attended by
students, teachers, parents, coaches and esteemed local dignitaries. The event commenced
with contingents from participating schools marching proudly in their distinct uniforms,
showcasing the diverse institutions coming together for this sporting spectacle.
The Principal of the host school, Sh. Nityanand Singh, in his welcome address, expressed his
delight at hosting such a significant event and wished all participants good luck. He said that
the sports meet is more than just a series of competitions; it’s a celebration of unity,
dedication and a sheer joy of participation. It is an opportunity for young minds to push their
limits and learn from each other. He emphasized the importance of sports in holistic
development of students. He highlighted the vitality of sports to detach students from virtual
world and to connect them with the reality of present. He proudly mentioned the
achievements of Rishikulites in CBSE Cluster, STAIRS and various other sports competitions
where the Rishikulites have shown their mettle at Dist., Regional and National level.
The grand fiesta commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp symbolizing the spirit of
sportsmanship taking forefront seat. A captivating cultural performance, presented by
students of Patanjali Rishikul added to the celebratory atmosphere. The song and dance
performances, a blend of traditional and contemporary acts, showcased the artistic talents of
the students and received a huge round of applause from the audience.
The highlight of the ceremony was the official declaration of the opening of a thrilling week of
intense yet friendly sports meet: ‘Beyond Boundaries- 2025’ by all the distinguished guests
from various sports field. This was followed by the oath taking ceremony by all the
participating athletes, pledging to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and play by the rules.
In his inspiring address, Mr. R. S. Bedi emphasized the paramount importance of sports in
overall development of students, highlighting values such as teamwork, discipline,
perseverance, and fair play. Mr. Prabhat Rai stated that beyond winning or losing, these
competitions are about building character, fostering friendships, and promoting a healthy
lifestyle.
Vice President, Dr. Krishna Gupta, in her message congratulated everyone for the grand
opening of the inter- school sports meet-Beyond Boundaries- 2025. She conveyed that the
sports meet stands as a testament of sportsmanship and healthy competition. Secretary, Sh.
Yashovardhan and Director, Madam Rekha Baid, appreciated and congratulated all for
participating in the second season of Beyond Boundaries and said that this sports meet is
going to be a celebration of determination, talent and teamwork.
The Inter-School Sports Competition is scheduled to conclude on 19 July, with a grand closing
ceremony and prize distribution. The annual Inter-School Sports Competition aims to promote
sports and physical activity among students, foster healthy competition, and encourage the
development of essential life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and resilience.
