INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY 2022

Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self and to the self.

Yoga is an ancient art that connects the mind and body. It is an exercise that we perform by balancing the elements of our bodies. In addition, it helps us meditate and relax. Patanjali Rishikul aims at the holistic development of the children. The 8th International Yoga Day was celebrated in school campus with the theme ‘Yoga for Humanity’ through different activities.

The day started off by a yoga session in the school campus which was attended by the students and teachers. During the summer vacation, some students who were not in the city actively participated along with their parents in a separate online yoga session conducted for them. The kids were filled with excitement and gained mental confidence. The students were engaged in other different activities followed by a quiz for awareness and acceptance of Yoga as our cultural and spiritual heritage.

On this occasion, the Vice President of this school Dr. Krishna Gupta said that through a regular practice of yoga, we can overcome our negative thinking which in turn gives confidence and enhances our mental power along with the physical fitness.

The Director of the school Ms. Rekha Baid Gupta and the Secretary Shri Yashovardhan said that yoga empowers us to heal and nurture our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, well-being.

The Principal of the school Shri Nityanand Singh inspired the teachers and students to devote sometime every day for yoga to nourish the body, mind and soul. He said that yoga transforms the person from within and it has the power to bring unity and harmony in the humanity.
